Rough Roadmap


What's next:

Octane Core is likely going to need to have a controls overhaul. Mainly due my aiming for it to be a high speed mech shooter, which means that radar locking, turning, firing weapons, all needs to be done without thinking about ow to manage a tedious control scheme.

The current roadmap for Octane Core is as follows:

  1.  Fix controls,
  2. Rewrite enemy behaviour (so that they can pose a threat to the player,
  3. Add better aiming mechanics and an actual radar scan system,
  4. Add missions,
  5. Implement new weapons and enemy types

These are all features that I want for the game, but there are a few that can be slowly done without too much real focus needed:

  1.  A main menu,
  2. A settings page,
  3. Customisation
